Elli is a professional hair artist coming to us from New Jersey where she graduated with a bachelors degree in social work and criminal justice, only to hang that degree on the wall for her family and pursue her true passion in hair. Specializing in all hair textures she has a true calling for Curls. Elli customizes her cuts, crafting them to reflect the vision and vibe of her guests and prides herself in giving the person in her chair confidence that lasts beyond the mirror!

Originally from Pine Bluff, Addison graduated from The Salon Professional Academy in June 2025 and is excited to help clients achieve their hair goals. He loves creating beautiful blondes, dramatic transformations, and precision haircuts, and is passionate about all things beauty. Addison enjoys building genuine connections with every guest, making sure each person feels comfortable, confident, and cared for throughout their visit.

Kelsie is an Oregon native who moved to Arkansas in 2021 and graduated from Paul Mitchell in 2023. She has a passion for creating beautiful, confidence-boosting looks and specializes in extensions, Brazilian blowouts, and custom color. Kelsie loves helping clients achieve their dream hair while providing a personalized and welcoming salon experience. Outside of the salon, she enjoys cheering on football, spending time near the beach, and embracing the things that bring her joy.

Gracie graduated from Vilonia High School in 2021 and The Salon Professional Academy in 2025. She has a passion for haircutting, color, and makeup, with a special love for creating beautiful looks for redheads. Gracie is dedicated to making every client feel prioritized, heard, and truly special while providing a personalized salon experience. Outside of the salon, she enjoys expressing her love for rock and roll, fashion, and all things beauty.

Stephanie moved from Colorado to Arkansas in 2022 and graduated from Paul Mitchell in 2023. As the salon floor manager at Joel’s Hair Salon, she loves creating a welcoming environment where every guest feels seen, valued, and special. Stephanie is passionate about connecting with clients and helping create an experience that goes beyond just great hair. Outside of the salon, she enjoys listening to oldies music, cheering on football, and spending quality time with her family and friends.

MaryAnn has been a hairstylist at Joel's since 1997. She enjoys all aspects of hair styling, but considers color and color correction her specialties. She has received continuing color education from Wella and Schwarzkopf among others. MaryAnn enjoys mentoring budding stylists in all things color. She is grateful to have the opportunity to use her “gift–of-gab” while getting to know her clients and their specific hair needs.

Amanda has been a stylist at Joel's since 2000. She specializes in color and cutting and has received on-going education from Wella, Bumble & bumble, and Toni & Guy. She enjoys using her sense of style and fashion to help her clients look their best.

Julie has been a part of the Joel's team since 2000 and has utilized Wella’s color education to become one of our most sought after colorists. She helps clients find the color that is right for them and delivers the perfect cut to complete the look.

Amber graduated from The Salon Professional Academy in February, 2017. While there she reached the school's highest level--4AA. She joined the Joel's team in May, 2017, and her passion for hair was immediately evident. She enjoys making people look and feel their best, giving an out-of-this-world shampoo experience. Amber has completed the intense Wella Color Expert courses in Calabasas Ca and has become a go to for beautiful blondes.

Lauren joined the Joel's team in 2015. She came to the salon with 6 years' experience in the beauty industry, 4 of those as a makeup artist. She has completed over 400 hours of makeup education. Also, she recently attended Bumble and bumble University in New York City to hone her razor-cutting skills, and Wella Studio in NYC to study classic cutting techniques. Lauren is excited to combine her skills in hair and makeup, specializing in special event styling.

Billy has been at Joel's since 2018. After completing school at the College of Barbering and Hair Design, he has continued his education through our apprentice program. His academic achievements along with his natural talents enable him to perfect the art of hair. Billy enjoys both men's and women's haircutting, but is the best with kids and men's cuts.

(Owner/salon manager) John moved to Little Rock in 2009 with Belk department stores and quickly fell in love with the city. After coming to Joel's as a client for numerous years, John decided he would like to be part of the team. He has over 13 years' experience in retail management and is excited to help lead Joel's into the future!

Sydney is not accepting new clients at this time. She graduated from Paul Mitchell in North Little Rock in 2009. She joined the Joel's team in November, 2012 where she quickly became known for her amazing shampoos. Sydney is a talented stylist who loves working with all hair types. She recently received continuing education at the Wella Academy in New York City and has been named Best Colorist in Soiree. Her passion is evident and she has become one of our top stylists.

Taylor is not accepting new clients at this time. He has been a hairstylist since 2005. He worked in Hot Springs and his hometown of Nashville, AR before coming to Joel's in 2007. His natural talent has led to his being our most in-demand stylists. Taylor recently attended Wella Academy in New York City and has won Best Stylist in both Arkansas Life and Soiree.

Dustin is not accepting new clients at this time. He has been with Joel's since 2018. After graduating from The Salon Professional Academy, he completed our apprentice program. Dustin's analytical nature helps him communicate with clients finding out exactly what they desire. His skills allow him to fully execute the client's vision. Dustin loves both coloring and cutting hair, and looks forward to building upon his knowledge continually.

Cynthia is not accepting new clients at this time. She has been a part of the Joel's team since 1998. Her artistic approach is the foundation of her passion for hair and has led to her being one of our most sought-after stylists. She has attended classes in New York and San Diego, working with top educators to learn the latest techniques and styles.

Philip is not accepting new clients at this time. Since 1997, Philip has been a successful stylist at Joel's. After graduating from cosmetology school he received further training in Dallas, Chicago, and New York. Because of his love and talent for hair styling he quickly built a loyal clientele, most of whom are still his clients today. With over 20 years' of experience at Joel's, Philip is a go to resource for younger stylists.

Joel is not accepting new clients at this time. Joel's opened in 1982 when Joel left McGuire Smith Salon to start his own salon in the old Ice House building in Hillcrest. His notoriety quickly spread prompting him to move to a larger location at Kavanaugh and Polk in the Heights. Following this, he moved Joel's to Pavilion in the Park, and then Pavilion Woods, where he and other leading stylists continue to enjoy great success today.
